UM TRY TO KEEP IT SHORT AND SWEET, SINCE WE DID PRESENT IT AT A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, BUT, UM, I JUST WANTED TO REVIEW SOME OF THE RECENT MAJOR EXPENDITURES OUT OF THIS FUND, ALSO FROM A CAPITAL PROJECT PERSPECTIVE. 2019 WE DID THE COLUMBUS AVENUE STORM IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH PUT A SEWER ALONG THE RAILROAD TRACKS BEHIND THE BENNIES AREA AND BOARD A NEW CULVERT UNDERNEATH THE ADJACENT RAILROAD TRACKS. UM PRETTY BIG PROJECT FOR US. AND I GUESS IF YOU DRIVE BY THERE, YOU CAN TELL THAT THE DRAINAGE IS MUCH MUCH IMPROVED BACK IN THAT AREA. AS WELL. A COUPLE MORE CURRENT PROJECTS. THE HICKORY GET IMPROVEMENTS WHERE WE PUT SOME NEW STORM SEWER DOWN THE ROADWAY AND THEN ALSO, UM, [00:20:04] INSTALLED A BRAND NEW COVER UNDERNEATH PEPPER BUSH DRIVE AS WELL MUCH NEEDED AND HAS PERFORMED VERY WELL. IN THE INTERIM. THAT PROJECT ACTUALLY THINK JUST IS WRAPPING UP NOW, SO THAT WAS A 2021 IN 2022 PROJECT. UM, WANTED STREET COVERED CHILD AND MENTION IT, BUT I BELIEVE THAT ROAD WAS PAVED AND THE ROADS BACK OPEN THERE. SO THAT WAS 320,000 AND THEN THE BISHOP RON DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS. SO THAT'S THE PROJECT JUST NORTH OF EDINA POINT WHERE THERE IS SOME WORK ACROSS THE AIRPORT PROPERTY, BUT WE WERE ABLE TO INSTALL SOME DETENTION BASINS. TO BE ABLE TO HELP IMPROVE THE DRAINAGE IN THE EDINA POINT AND LEVERAGE AREA, AND THAT WAS A PRETTY BIG PROJECT THAT ABOUT 950,000 SOME IN HOUSE PROJECTS AND AGAIN. I DETAILED ALL THESE AT THE WORK SESSION, BUT WE WERE ABLE TO ENCLOSE THE DETROL ON DELAWARE AVENUE IN FRONT OF THE UAE AND HAROLD LEWIS, UM, CENTER. UM AGAIN. WE DID THAT IN HOUSE. BUT IF WE WERE TO HIRE CONTRACTOR WE'RE LOOKING AT ABOUT $100,000 TO DO THAT PROJECT WE CENTRALLY DUG A DITCH AND REPLACING OLD FIELD TILE WITH A BRAND NEW DITCH TO HELP DRAIN THE SQUARE DRIVE AREA, DELAWARE AVENUE AND PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING EAST OF 33 IN THAT AREA, WITH THE WORK THAT ORGANIZE DID OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS WERE ENVISIONING ANTICIPATING THAT WAS ABOUT $350,000 OF SAVINGS. AND THEN JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, WE WERE ABLE TO REPLACE THE STORM SEWER USING IN HOUSE CREWS THAT CENTRAL CONNECTED SIXTH STREET TO FIFTH STREET, JUST WEST OF FIVE POINTS AT THE UNDERWOOD FUNERAL HOME, AND THAT WAS ABOUT $35,000 TO SAVINGS PROJECTS THAT WE HAVE ON THE HORIZON. THE TOWN RUN CULVERT REPLACEMENT, SO WE OPENED UP BIDS FOR TOWN RUN TO BE REPLACED AND ACTUALLY WENT TO BORDER CONTROL THIS MORNING UNDERNEATH THE EAGLES BUILDING THAT WE NOW OWN, BASED ON THOSE BID PRICES WERE LOOKING AT REPLACING, UH, YOU KNOW, OR IF WE DO NEED TO REPLACE TALENT, TOM RUNNING OTHER AREAS ALL THE WAY FROM FIST STREET TO RIGHT OUTSIDE OF CITY HALL HERE AT SOUTH MAIN STREET THAT'S GOING TO COST ABOUT $3.5 MILLION. WITH THAT WE DO HAVE SOME INSPECTION REPORTS THAT SAY, HEY, PARTS OF THIS ARE GETTING CLOSE TO WHERE YOU GUYS NEED. YOU GUYS NEED TO START THINKING ABOUT REPLACING THAT YOU KNOW EVERYTHING'S RELATIVELY STRUCTURALLY SOUND, BUT IT'S SOMETHING THAT WE WOULD WANT ON THE HORIZON. WHERE WITHIN THE NEXT 5 TO 10 YEARS, YOU KNOW, WE WILL HAVE EXPANDED THAT $3.5 MILLION. WE'VE ALSO GOT COMING UP. HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR REMOVAL OF THE LOGJAMS ON MILL CREEK. RIGHT NOW WE'RE ESTIMATING THAT COST TO BE ABOUT $500,000 AND THEN SOME OTHER ITEMS THAT WE HAVE ON OUR SIP INCLUDE THE BAR HAVEN DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH COULD, OR AT LEAST PRELIMINARILY HAVE A POND ON OVER WS PROPERTY TO DETAIN SOME OF THAT WATER BEFORE IT GETS TO THE BAR EDITION AS WELL. THERE IS A UNDERSIZED STORM SEWER THAT GOES UNDER KENNY LANE. THAT WILL BE ABLE TO HOPEFULLY PIPES SOME OF THAT WATER SO THAT THE INTERSECTION OF HICKORY DRIVE AND KENNY LANE ISN'T INUNDATED WITH TONS OF FLOODING. WHATEVER IT RAINS REALLY HARD, STORMWATER BASINS, GREENWOOD PARK AND THEN OTHER VARIOUS PUBLIC STORM SEWER INSTALLATIONS IN THE UPTOWN FOR THE MOST PART OF THE PUBLIC STORM SEWER INSTALLATION IN THE UPTOWN. UM, BEING THAT THE UPTIME IS A LITTLE BIT OLDER THAN WILL SAY NO VALLEY OR GREEN PASTURES. THERE'S BLOCKS OF ROADWAYS WITHOUT STORM SEWERS AT ALL. SO WE WERE LOOKING AT INSTALLING SOME STORM SEWERS ALONG THOSE FOLKS. CAN TYLER DOWNSPOUTS INTO HIM AND DO SOME OTHER THINGS LIKE THAT, LET ALONE IMPROVE THE DRAINAGE ALONG THE ROADWAYS, WHICH IS BENEFICIAL BECAUSE IT ADDS TO THE LIFE OF THE ROAD, SO WITH ALL THOSE THINGS. UM THE NEXT SLIDE JUST SHOWS THE PROPOSED INCREASE IN AS TERRY MENTIONED. THIS DID GO TO THE UTILITY RATE WORKING GROUP IN SEPTEMBER. UM, WE'RE LOOKING AT UM, LET'S SEE, IT WAS $6 PER YEAR. YOU FOR THOSE THAT AREN'T AWARE. AND ER YOU EACH HOUSE, WHETHER IT'S A ONE ACRE HOUSE OR A HOUSE ON A ONE ACRE LOT, OR ON AN EIGHTH OF AN ACRE. SO IT'S OUR PLAN TO WE KIND OF MISSED LAST LAST COUNCIL MEETING [00:25:05] AS WE'RE HOPING TO RUN THIS RELATIVELY SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE BUDGETING PROCESS. UM WHAT, WHAT THIS WILL DO. AND I CAN UPDATE THIS SLIDE. MAYBE FOR THE NEXT ONE. I KIND OF THREW THIS TOGETHER AND I WAS LOOKING AT SOME NUMBERS AND THEY WERE 100% ACCURATE, BUT THE ONES THAT MATTER WHEN WE INCREASE THIS BY A DOLLAR WILL GET ANOTHER $190,000 WITHIN THE STORM WATER FUND SO YOU CAN SEE THAT IN THE BOTTOM LEFT, UM IN 2024 THAT WILL YIELD ANOTHER 342,020 25. WE'LL HAVE ANOTHER 453,000 WHERE THAT RELATES IS THE CAPITAL PROJECTS SO OBVIOUSLY ARE EQUIPMENT IS PRETTY STANDARD OR IT STAYS PRETTY STABLE, BUT OUR OPERATIONS COSTS AS WE HIRE SOME ADDITIONAL STAFF TO BE ABLE TO DO SOME OF THOSE IN HOUSE PROJECTS. YOU CAN SEE THAT NUMBERS JUMPED A LITTLE BIT. SO WITH THAT BEING SAID ALL OF THIS MONEY WOULD BE ALLOCATED TOWARDS CAPITAL PROJECTS SO YOU CAN SEE HERE WE GO FROM 532,000 APOLOGIZE IF I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THE POINTER, BUT CENTURY WE'RE DOWN TO NOT MUCH MONEY LEFTOVER AND 2024 2025 FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS SO ALL OF THIS MONEY WOULD GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS CAPITAL PROJECTS, WHICH WOULD ALLOW US AGAIN. MOST PROJECTS ARE UNFORTUNATELY ABOUT $500,000 . SO THAT WOULD LET US DO ONE PROJECT A YEAR, LET ALONE ANYTHING THAT OUR GUYS WOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE IN HOUSE, WHICH SOME OF THOSE STORM SEWERS WITHIN THE UPTOWN AREA. SEEMS LIKE THAT WOULD BE KIND OF RIGHT DOWN RIGHT DOWN THEIR ALLEY, SO TO SPEAK, SO AGAIN, THE INCREASES OR NECESSARY AFTER TALKING WITH BRAD AND UTILITY RATE WORKING GROUP IN THESE INCREASES WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS CAPITAL PROJECTS, WHICH ULTIMATELY WOULD BENEFIT ALL OF THE RESIDENTS OF MARYSVILLE. AND IF ANYBODY HAS QUESTIONS, I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS. UM. MOST OF US HAVE LIVED HERE FOR A LONG TIME. UM DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA APPROXIMATELY WHEN THE TOWN RUN AND AGAIN THE TOWN RUN GOES PAST THE HOSPITAL, THEN COMES TO SEVEN STATE MAKES THEM IMMEDIATE 90 DEGREE BECAUSE UNDER THE BUILDING, THEN THERE'S A SMALL OPEN SITE GOES ON. BUT OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE TO REALIZE THAT THERE IS A COST ASSOCIATED AND THINGS DON'T LAST INDEFINITELY. SO THIS IS THIS IS A BIG PROJECT AGAIN. THERE IS AN INCREASE, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, NOW IS THE TIME TO START. SAVING UP FOR THAT, UM, WITH WITH THE INCREASE OF THE THAT IS PROPOSED AN EXCELLENT POINT YOU MAKE US SO AS PART OF THE TOWN RUN THE PROJECT THAT WE BID OUT FOR UNDERNEATH THE EAGLES. THERE WAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO REPAIR IT VERSUS COMPLETELY TEAR IT OUT SORT OF REPAIR. IT WAS GOING TO BE $300,000 OR TO COMPLETELY REPLACE IT. IT WAS 500. THE REPAIRS ARE CONSULTANTS SAID WOULD LAST 20 YEARS WHERE WE'RE ENVISIONING? YOU KNOW IF WE COMPLETELY REPLACE IT. WE'RE LOOKING AT ANYWHERE FROM 75 TO 100 YEARS. SO FROM THAT POINT OF VIEW, IT SEEMED LIKE A NO BRAINER TO GO WITH THE COMPLETE REPLACEMENT JUST DUE TO THE EXTRA EXTRA DESIGN LIFE THAT YOU'D BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF A BRAND NEW COVER. OKAY THAT WAS MY ONLY COMMENT TO THE HEAD TO HEAD ON THAT ONE. I JUST HAVE A COMMENT ON THAT YEAH.
