CITY STREET CREWS CONTINUE TO WORK ON THE PARKING LOT EXPANSION OUT AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. CURRENTLY THEY'RE MOVING QUITE A BIT OF DIRT AND INSTALLING CONDUIT FOR FUTURE LIGHTING. AND AS WELL, WE ARE COORDINATING THE CONNECTION. BETWEEN THE EXISTING PATH NEAR THE NEW WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND THE NEW RESERVOIR CONNECTOR BRIDGE PATH. PARKS ON THAT SIDE OF THE CITY CREWS WITH THE HELP OF A LOCAL LEGAL EAGLE SCOUT ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON ENTRANCE, LANDSCAPING AT THE LEGION POOL AND CONTINUE TO WORK ON THE CITYWIDE TREE INVENTORY AS PART OF OUR URBAN FORESTRY PROGRAM, AND THEN ON THE EVENT SIDE CITY STAFF HAS STARTED POINTING FOR 2024 EVENTS AND ARE CURRENTLY PERFORMING A RATE REVIEW ON CITY FEES AS A RELATES TO EVENTS. AND THEN AS WELL AS THE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE STARTS THIS WEEK, WHICH IS A GOOD SEGUE, SO I'LL FILL IN FOR KYLE, WHO IS CURRENTLY DOING THE CHIPPING CONTEST. UM SOME CONSTRUCTION UPDATES AS IT RELATES TO OUR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS AT THE STATE ROUTE 31 IN CREEK VIEW ROUND ABOUT OUR CONTRACTOR WILL BE WRAPPING UP THE PHASE ONE CONSTRUCTION, WHICH IS OCCURRING ON THE EAST SIDE THIS WEEK AND WILL BE TRANSITIONING OVER TO THE PHASE TWO CONSTRUCTION NEXT WEEK. WHAT THAT MEANS TO THE TRAVELING PUBLIC, UM, CREEK VIEW DRIVE WILL BE CLOSED AT STATE ROUTE 31 DURING THIS PHASE OF THE PROJECT, THEREFORE, RESIDENTS WITHIN THE NORTHERN PART OF MILL VALLEY SHOULD USE MILLWOOD BOULEVARD DECREE, IF YOU DRIVE OR BY HIS FIRST, DEPENDING ON WHICH WAY THEY'RE GOING AS THEIR DETOUR. WILL HAVE A BUSINESS LEADER PANEL DISCUSSION ON HOW EMPLOYMENT AND, UM JUST THE SHEER LACK OF EMPLOYEES RIGHT NOW IS IMPACTING OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES IN THE COUNTY, SO DEFINITELY RECOMMEND COMING OUT OF IF YOU ALL ARE AVAILABLE SECOND, OUR GRASSROOTS SUMMIT HOSTED WITH FIASCO ARE JAPANESE RELATIONSHIP. WE'RE GONNA HAVE EIGHT ADULT DELEGATES NEXT WEEK STARTING ON WEDNESDAY LEADING INTO SUNDAY. MARYSVILLE WILL BE HOSTING THAT EVENT, SO CHECK CLEARED, HAS WORKED WITH THE PARKS AND REC COMMISSION ON BASICALLY DISCUSSING WHAT HIS PLANS ARE FOR THAT EVENT, BUT IT BASICALLY, MARYSVILLE HAS A BMX TRACK, AND THERE'S A NATIONAL EVENT WHICH MARYSVILLE WILL BE HOSTING NEXT YEAR. REALLY EXCITING. UM AUGUST 16TH THROUGH THE 18TH. IT'S EXPECTED TO BE 1500 TO 2000 RACERS. AND THEN THERE'S 2 TO 3 ATTENDEES PER RACER. SO MARYSVILLE WILL BE VERY BUSY THAT WEEK. UM IN NOVEMBER, THE SHELTER AT NO VALLEY CENTRAL PARK WILL BE REPLACED. IN OCTOBER. THE PLAYGROUND OF ORDERS GATE WILL BE REPLACED. UH UM. THIS IS ONE SO ONCE AGAIN AROUND THE SMALL AMOUNT, BUT AN AMOUNT THAT'S APPROPRIATE TO PAY FROM THE TIFF. FUN ON THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FUND. WE HAD UM. WE HAD BUDGETED ALL THOSE EXPENDITURES AS REQUIRED BY LAW, BUT WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY MONEY IN A LINE ITEM RELATED PERFORMANCE PAY. SO BASICALLY, WHAT WE'RE DOING IS JUST MOVING . REALLY WHAT YOU'VE ALREADY BUDGETED FOR YOUR BUDGETED TOTAL AMOUNT OF EXPENDITURES WERE JUST MOVING OUT FROM CAPITOL BASICALLY TO THE PERFORMANCE PAY LIGHT ITEM. AND SANITATION FUND. WE'VE HAD HAD SOME MORE PART TIME THEN WHAT WAS INITIALLY BUDGETED FOR BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT THEY HAVE REQUESTED IN THE PRIOR BUDGET. AND WILL YOU WILL SEE AT LEAST A REQUEST AND THE, UH 2024 BUDGET FOR ANOTHER FULL TIME EMPLOYEES SO THAT'S GREAT THAT WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO HOLD OFF ON THE FULL TIME EMPLOYEE, BUT THERE IS SOME MORE PART TIME EMPLOYEE EXPENDITURES AND THE SEWER FUND REQUESTING AN INCREASE TO THE PAYMENT OF THE SCHOOL ONCE AGAIN, AS YOU ALL KNOW, AND IT WAS DISCUSSED QUITE A LOT, ESPECIALLY A FEW MONTHS AGO. BUT WHEN WE RECEIVED THE TIFF PAYMENTS FOR THE RESIDENTIAL TIFFS, THOSE MONIES THAT ARE COLLECTED AS A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE OF THOSE ARE SENT TO THE SCHOOL. UM THOSE OF YOU THAT LIVE IN UNION COUNTY ARE VERY WELL AWARE OF THE INCREASE IN PROPERTY TAXES THAT EVERYONE PAID THAT ALSO INCREASED THE AMOUNT OF WE RECEIVED FROM THE TIFFS THAT GETS PAID TO THE SCHOOL. UM I ACTUALLY ESTIMATED THIS AMOUNT OF $356,000. BUT AS OF JUST A FEW DAYS AGO, WE DID RECEIVE THE 22ND HALF PROPERTY TAX PAYMENT. UM I DON'T INTO IT CAME IN A LITTLE BIT LESS THAN THIS. SO I'M NOT GOING TO REQUEST FOR YOU THAT THE LEGISLATION WE START THE PROCESS , BUT JUST KNOW THAT THIS WILL COVER THE AMOUNT THAT NEEDS TO BE PAID TO THE SCHOOL. OF COURSE, WE CAN GIVE YOU THOSE EXACT NUMBERS WHEN THAT'S DONE.

IN THE WATER FUND. WE UM DID HAVE SOME NEW HIRES FOR THE NEW PLANT THAT I DIDN'T CAPTURE IN THE ORIGINALLY IN THE 2023 BUDGET, BUT OF COURSE, THE WATER FUNDING HAS SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO PAY FOR THOSE UM, SO THAT'S WHAT THAT REQUEST IS FOR. AND THEN FINALLY THE U. S 33 COLLEGE FUND, WHICH I MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY. WE DO THEIR BUDGET LATER. WELL IT'S THE SAME THING YOU APPROVED THEIR AGENCY FUND THE 998 FUND, SO I'M ASKING FOR YOU TO EFFECTIVELY MATCH WHAT WAS APPROVED IN THEIR BUDGET WITH THEIR UM WHAT'S APPROPRIATE IN OUR SYSTEM?
