HONOR THE LEGACY OF THIS VITAL INSTITUTION AND ITS CONTINUED SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY, OUR LODGES BRING MORE TO COMMUNITIES THAN THE ESTHER BUILDING. THEY ARE PLACES WHERE NEIGHBORS COME TOGETHER, WHERE FAMILIES SHARE MEALS, AND WHERE CHILDREN GROW UP AND WHEREAS ELKS INVEST IN THEIR COMMUNITY THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT HELP CHILDREN GROW UP HEALTHY AND DRUG FREE AND MEET THE NEEDS OF TODAY'S VETERANS AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE. AT GREENWOOD PARK. THAT THEY'LL INCLUDE, PICKLEBALL WITH THE POLICE DRONE AND K-9 DEMONSTRATIONS, POLICE VEHICLE TOUCH A TRUCK, FREE HOT DOGS, BALLOON ARTISTS AND FACE PAINTING. WHEN PUSHED OUT, IT CAUSED THE LINKAGE BETWEEN CROWDSTRIKE APPLICATION AND WINDOWS TO BREAK, CREATING WHAT WE HAD, IS BLUE SCREEN REBOOTS THROUGHOUT OUR CITY, THE IT DEPARTMENT WAS ABLE TO REPAIR MOST OF THE COMPUTERS IN OUR ENVIRONMENT BY FRIDAY EVENING, AND THEY FINISHED OFF ON A REMAINING NUMBER OF, COMPUTERS, JUST TODAY. AND SO OUR INTEREST, FOR THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS, BECAUSE OF HOW BUSY WE'RE GETTING WITH SECURING FUNDING AND DOING, VARIOUS PROJECTS, WE'VE MADE THE COMMITMENT TO HIRE AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE GENTLEMAN THAT WE'RE HIRING OR MOVING FORWARD TO HIRE IS DOUG MCCULLOUGH, FORMER CIO WITH THE CITY OF DUBLIN, WHO'S NOW, STILL DOES WORK FOR DUBLIN, BUT MORE IN A CONTRACT CAPACITY. DUBLIN HAS INDICATED THAT THEY WILL PAY, HIS CONTRACT SERVICES FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2024. SO DUBLIN WILL HOLD ON TO THAT AND THEN WE'LL BE MAKING DETERMINATIONS OF WHAT THAT WILL BE MOVING FORWARD IN 2025 AND BEYOND.
