GOOD EVENING, AND WELCOME TO THE MARYSVILLE COUNCIL MEETING. SO TODAY WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE A COMMENDATION IN HONOR OF SUPERINTENDENT DOCTOR DIANE ALLEN. WHEREAS DOCTOR DIANE ALLEN HAS FAITHFULLY AND EFFECTIVELY SERVED AS THE SUPERINTENDENT OF MARYSVILLE SCHOOLS FOR 13 EXEMPLARY YEARS, TRANSFORMING THE EDUCATIONAL LANDSCAPE OF OUR COMMUNITY AND TOUCHING THE LIVES OF COUNTLESS STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND EDUCATORS. AND WHEREAS, UNDER HER VISIONARY LEADERSHIP, THE DISTRICT WAS AWARDED A 12 PLUS MILLION DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE STATE OF OHIO, WHICH LED TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE STEM EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL, AN INNOVATIVE INSTITUTION PROVIDING STUDENTS WITH EARLY ACCESS TO COLLEGE LEVEL COURSEWORK AND 21ST CENTURY CAREER PATHWAYS. AND WHEREAS, DOCTOR ALLEN SPEARHEADED THE RENOVATION AND CREATION OF MULTI-PURPOSE FACILITIES, INCLUDING THE CELEBRATED IMPACT AND DRIVE STADIUMS, WHICH HAVE NOT ONLY ENHANCED ATHLETIC AND EXTRACURRICULAR EXPERIENCES, BUT HAVE ALSO SERVED AS GATHERING SPACES THAT UNITE PEOPLE FROM ALL CORNERS OF OUR COMMUNITY AND BEYOND, INSTILLING PRIDE AND FOSTERING CIVIC CONNECTION. AND WHEREAS, THROUGH PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, DOCTOR ALLEN EARNED HER DOCTORATE DEGREE WHILE CONTINUING TO LEAD THE DISTRICT, MODELING LIFELONG LEARNING AND RESILIENCE. IT'S JUST BEEN AMAZING. SO. AND THAT THE CITY IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THAT. AND ALL THE PEOPLE STANDING ACROSS THE BACK AND MAKES THIS A COMMUNITY, AND THAT'S WHAT'S SPECIAL HERE. SO THANK YOU. AND YEAH, AND THE ONLY THING I'LL SAY IS WHAT MAKES MARYSVILLE UNIQUE. SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM WITH OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT PARTNERS, SWIFT RESCUE, SWIFT WATER RESCUE, REGIONAL WATER RESCUE TASK FORCE, HAZARDOUS MATERIALS STRIKE TEAM, NAST FIRE INVESTIGATIONS, AND FIRE SAFETY INSPECTIONS. STILL TRYING TO PLAY CATCH UP? THE MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVITIES ARE A PRETTY BIG LIFT FOR OUR CREWS.
